The 5th is a relatively short par 4 of 317 yards, though plays longer than its length since the slope is uphill all the way to the green.

The drive is over a gully on to a rising plateau with out of bounds on the left and trouble on the right of the fairway.  The second shot is uphill to a semi-plateau green, with bunkers short right and above it on the right. The steep rise to the front of the green lies at an angle to ensure that any shot not quite firm enough will almost certainly fall away to swing down to the left.
