Festival Week is Manchester
Golf Club's opportunity to showcase the club and course at its
glorious best. Guests travel from all over the region to play
in this annual cluster of events - many will be returning in 2012
having taken part in Festival Week for a number of years.
As news travels that
in 2012 the Manchester Golf Club will be celebrating 100 years
at its current location of 'Hopwood' there is sure to be even
more interest in Festival Week than usual. Our regular participants
are therefore advised to post their entries as soon as possible
to avoid disappointment.
The varied schedule
has an event to suit every golfer and all events are played in
the spirit of the Festival. Ladies, Gents, Seniors, Juniors, Mixed
and Club representative trophies are all fiercely competed for.
Participants are guaranteed
a very warm welcome from the members of Manchester Golf Club.
You are sure to enjoy the fantastic championship golf course which
will test the skill of each and every competitor and also our
choice of good hearty food and complement of drinks to follow.
Manchester Golf Club rarely disappoints.
Buggies can be booked
in advance through Golf Reception on 0161 655 3668 and our fantastic
practice facilities are open to competitors throughout the week.
Prize winners will
be delighted to hear that they can select prizes from our prize
table on the evening or exchange them following the prize giving
at our House of Golf professional shop which remains open late
especially for your convenience.

Festival Week 2011
was a wonderful week enjoyed by hundreds of golfers from around
the region. The course was in superb condition and this was reflected
in the comments received from our welcome guests.
Paul Teasdale from
Cheshire sent us the following message that sums up the tone of
the whole week.
'Just thought I would
drop you a line to thank you for an absolutely fabulous day last
Friday in the 4 Man Team Competition. We all felt the whole day,
magnificently prepared course, friendly and attentive staff, first
class meal and general hospitality, all quietly and efficiently
organised was simply superb. We thank you and all the people involved
for a memorable day'.

David from Horsforth Golf Club brought a number
of teams to play in the Seniors Team Event in 2011. This is
what he had to say.
Dear Steve,
All the Horsforth lads who played in the above
event last week have asked me to pass on their thanks for a
super days golf backed up by great hospitality. They are already
asking when can they get their names down to return to Hopwood
next year and hopefully we may even be able to bring a few more
teams!
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
David
