Society Menus

Host to the Lancashire Amateur Championship in 2011, the Northern Counties in 2013 and the England Golf Captains 2014 If you are planning to hold a Corporate or Society Day at Manchester Golf Club this is the menu that you will be selecting from. ** Please note select one menu only for all members of your party. 

Starters

  • Soup of the day

Options available – Minestrone with shaved parmesan, leek and potato, carrot and coriander, tomato and basil or classic French onion with parmesan croute

  • Watermelon, parma ham, feta cheese salad with balsamic reduction
  • Baked goats cheese and black pudding with smoked bacon and rocket salad
  • Chicken liver pate served with red onion marmalade and melba toast
  • Chicken and bacon Caesar salad served with herb croutons and shaved parmesan

 

Main Courses

  • Pie of the day

Options available (Meat and potato, steak and ale, steak, red wine and mushroom, mince and onion, cheese and onion, chicken and mushroom or chicken and smoked bacon)

  • Roast topside of beef served with a Yorkshire pudding and red wine gravy
  • Roasted loin of pork with crackling, apple puree and a creamy cider sauce
  • Roasted fillet of herb crusted salmon served with creamed leeks, or white wine sauce
  • Pan fried chicken breast served with a smooth tomato sauce

 

Vegetarian main course options

  • Goats cheese and sundried tomato tart served with a red pepper coulis
  • Wild mushroom, brie and cranberry wellington served with a white wine cream
  • Butternut squash risotto with crispy leeks
  • Vegetarian nut roast served with gravy

 

Desserts

  • Black cherry Bakewell tart served with fruit coulis and vanilla ice cream
  • Homemade sticky toffee pudding served with caramel sauce and custard
  • Caramelised apple and rhubarb crumble served with custard or cream
  • Homemade steamed jam or syrup pudding served with custard
  • Individual strawberry Eton mess

 

Coffee and mints

Cheese board platters available upon request – £3.50 per person

(A selection of cheeses with biscuits, celery, grapes and chutney)
