We are proud to be an England Golf Championship Venue, the host of PGA Tournaments and to regularly feature in respected golf rankings and guides. Perhaps more importantly, we are delighted to welcome Guests throughout the year, especially during Festival Week which is a highlight of our golfing calendar.

Since 1987 we have held a series of open competitions for golfers of all categories and age groups. Held in August, when the course is typically in great condition, we provide golfers from far and wide with the opportunity to enjoy our 247 acres of golfing glory. Many Festival Week participants return year-on-year to enjoy the beautiful moorland and heathland of Hopwood at the height of summer – usually greeted by volunteers and past captains intend on hosting a memorable week for our guests.With competitions for ladies, gents, seniors, juniors and mixed teams our aim is to host a week for all to enjoy. Whether picking-up a prize or enjoying 18-holes of golf surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature, hope you enjoy a warm Manchester welcome.

In 2023 there is even more to lookout for as The Manchester Golf Academy will open. Featuring a 350-yard driving range (with undercover and on-grass bays), short game area with 575m2 green and teaching studio, this project is two-years in the making and will be an exciting addition to our outstanding facilities.
