Congratulations to all the competitors who took part in the Captain’s Charity Day at Hopwood on Monday 28 August 2023. George Shepherd, Captain, was delighted to host a full field of thirty five teams, each of which contributed to the important work of Springhill Hospice by taking part in the day. It was fantastic to see so many golfers at the club enjoying the course, the refurbished clubhouse and the new practice facilities. Many great scores on the day including the following prize winners:

Now Open
A number of golfers were interested in the development project to the left of the 17th and 18th holes, the Manchester Range and Golf Academy. which opened in July. This features a 300+ yard driving range, indoor and on-grass bay and a short game area featuring a 575m2 green modelled on the existing course architecture. Further information on this exciting project can be found here. A limited number of Academy memberships will be available and may be of interest to members of other clubs and Festival Week guests.
