We are proud to be the venue for an important England Golf Championship from 24-26 August 2023.
The English Women’s Open Amateur Stroke Play event is open to female amateur golfers of all nationalities. The 2023 Championship is being played over 72-holes on our Harry Shapland Colt designed course. A maximum of 144 competitors will play 18 holes on each of the first two days with the leading 40 competitors and ties playing 36 holes on the final day. The event was won by Alessia Nobilio of Italy in 2022, who shot a gross 287 over Beau Desert in Staffordshire.
There may be the opportunity to see Abbie Teasdale in action, who returns to Manchester in 2023 after her incredibly successful year in 2022 when she won the English Amateur Championship while based at Hopwood.
