The new 2023 Golf World/Today’s Golfer Top 100 Courses has included Manchester Golf Club in the latest rankings. We are delighted to be featured by these long standing titles alongside the best in England, which is home to more than 2,200 courses according to the R&A. The Golf World review highlights that:
“This Harry Colt design is routed through a grand old estate. Generous fairways across the springy turf of rolling moorland and a good variety of holes. The detail of the routing brings your game to life.”
The Hopwood course is admired by many, testament to the natural moorland and heathland landscape and the vision of Harry Shapland Colt, one of the most celebrated course architects of the early 20th century. In addition to the Today’s Golfer ranking, Manchester has been named one of 100 UK&I Hidden Gems by Golf Monthly and is a Golf England Championship venue. The course is preparing for a major competition in 2023 when we host the English Women’s Strokeplay in August.
