Visitors are welcome at Hopwood – either for individual tee-times or group bookings. It is easy to book a time with all available dates and fees published. Manchester green fee rates vary by time of year and there are often daily specials for a limited number of tee-times. For parties of 12 or more, please see our corporate and society page which includes special packages for groups.
As a Private Members club that welcomes visitors, our green fees are priced according to the popularity of tee times on each day. In doing so, we ensure that the times most in demand by members are kept as free as possible and our visitors can choose green fees that suit their budget. The best value is as a member’s guest and we also have special rates for County Card holders and members of clubs we have recriprocal arrangements with, including other Harry Shapland Colt courses.
Members at Hopwood are able to introduce guests at special, member-only rates. Guests are able to play up to three times in a calendar year and members are able to introduce guests at the member rate up to twelve times annually. Members can book tee-times on BRS as usual.
Set in over 240 acres the Manchester Golf Course is predominantly moorland in character but with heathland features and vast scenic, rural views. The course was designed by Harry Shapland Colt, one of the foremost golf course architects of his time who participated in the design or redesign of over 300 golf courses (115 on his own) in all six inhabited continents, including those at Wentworth Club, Sunningdale, Muirfield, Royal Portrush, and Royal Liverpool. The course is an England Golf Championship Venue and highly ranked by Golf World, Golf Now, Golf Monthly, Top 100 Courses, National Club Golfer and more.
Our purpose-built facility is the perfect place to prepare before you play. Featuring Trackman Technology, Indoor & Outdoor bays, 300+ yard range and architect designed short game area all open to golfers playing in our open golf events.
Our course planner is your guide to each hole on our championship course. Featuring video flyovers, hole plans, pro's tips and pictures - the Planner is ideal for anyone playing in our open golf events. And, because it works on mobile, you can take it with you.
