At Manchester Golf Club we have a vibrant Women’s Section which enjoys playing golf on a fantastic course and using the extensive practice facilities. With a number of membership options you can chose whether to play competitively or just socially. We also have an active social calendar.

We organise a range of competitions and take part in various team events. Our main competition day is Tuesday with an option of Sunday competitions for women who work. Our teams take part in competitions with other clubs in the North West region. A number of our members have been picked to play for Lancashire Teams.

Our active social calendar supports the Lady Captain's Charity with a full schedule of events including coffee mornings, Christmas Lunch and a weekend away. There is also plenty of opportunity to spend time together in the clubhouse and share food and drink in our bars and lounges.

Our dedicated Golf Pathway is the perfect way to get into golf. For no fee or obligation you can take part in Taster Sessions for women of all abilities, find out what the club offers and experience our world class practice facilities. We will then support your journey golf and the club - in line with the Women In Golf Charter.
Golf is a great game and much changed in recent years, becoming a more inclusive, accesible and welcoming sport than days gone bye. Manchester is an extremely friendly Golf Club with some of the best facilities in the region – including purpose-built practice facilities that are ideal for begineers and experts alike.
Our Taster Session is a fun event aimed at women of all ages and abilities. Free to attend with equipment provided, all you need to do is register in advance and turn-up on the day in warm clothing and trainers or golf shoes. Our team will introduce you to basics and help you use the great golf facilities. And, we will cap the morning off with refreshments and an overview of the Get into Golf Pathways for anyone interested in going further.
