At the conclusion of another sunny day at Hopwood, the second day of the Lancashire Amateur produced further fine performances from players in the field of 132. The leader at the end of the second day is John Carroll from Huyton & Prescott who added a 69 to his first round 67 for an eight under total on the challenging Blue Course. The nearest competitors are Kieran McCarthy from Ormskirk Golf Club and Luke Kelly from Ashton-under-Lyne who are on 139, five under – both shot 69 on Saturday.
